Azhar Adnan is the Chief Business Officer of TIME’s Enterprise & Public Sector Business. In this new role, he has expanded TIME’s portfolio to include new business growth areas beyond Connectivity such as Cloud and Cybersecurity. Helming a team of dedicated people committed to growth, he invests in an optimum mix of enablers at the right time and scale even in the face of unexpected challenges from the business and operating context; turning disruption to advantages.
With over 28 years of experience in the telecommunications and information technology industry, Azhar has a knack in product development and technical design. He started off his career with Maxis as a BSS Radio Engineer and later joined BT Frontline (a System Integrator subsidiary to British Telecom) as a Solution Consultant.
At TIME dotCom Berhad (TIME), he started his role as the Head of Product Management in 2005 and extended his portfolio into Presales and Solutioning. In 2010, he began his sales management role as the Head of Corporate Business, then moved to Vietnam in 2017 to be the Chief Marketing Officer of TIME’s subsidiary, CMC Telecom for 2 years. As a business head, Azhar guides his teams through the constant change and fast-paced environment that is now commonplace especially in the telecommunications industry. This has led to a sustainable, profitable growth of the corporate and enterprise businesses.
Azhar’s passion for extreme sports like mountain hiking, scuba diving and triathlon races has motivated him to take on challenging tasks which propelled his own journey to excellence with an unrelenting dedication for empowering people to be winning leaders and successors for organisations.
Azhar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic and Communication Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from United Kingdom.
