Cornelius Mare is the chief information security officer at Fortinet Australia. He is responsible for leading technical, pre-sales and support initiatives, working closely with partners and customers to understand their business drivers and risk posture.  

Cornelius has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector in roles across network security and delivering cyber-resilient solutions. Before joining Fortinet, Cornelius worked as a sales engineer within the global solutions architect team at Imperva, focusing on application and data security.  

Prior to that, Cornelius worked at MTN as the organisation’s core security manager and network security manager, with Business Connection as the senior network engineer, and at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), where he worked as a senior systems administrator, overseeing network security. Cornelius started his career as a junior systems administrator for the South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX).
