Alonso Rivas is Global VP Infrastructure Services for Grupo BIMBO; Grupo Bimbo is the leader and largest baking Company in the world and a relevant participant in snacks. Grupo BIMBO has operations in 34 countries with more than 139,000 associates; produces and distributes sliced bread, buns and rolls, cookies, pastries, cakes, cookies, English muffins, bagels and salty snacks, among others. Grupo BIMBO has one of the largest distribution networks in the world.
Through his role as Global VP Infrastructure Services, Alonso is responsible for Global IT Operations including End-user support, Digital Workplace, Cloud Operations and Connectivity Services. He has successfully transformed Grupo BIMBO’s infrastructure to a cloud environment, achieving relevant operational savings and consolidating the foundation of its digital transformation. Alonso holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Electrical Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua, MEXICO and a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana, MEXICO.
