Gary is a Cyber Security and IT Leader with over 30 years of experience in the transportation, retail, banking, leisure, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. He is currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and head of Infrastructure at CSX Corporation, where he is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the company's cyber security program.
In his previous role as Global Vice President and CISO at Carnival Corporation, Gary led the development and implementation of the company's first CISO office. He also designed and implemented the company's security architecture, engineering, operations, compliance, and identity and access management programs.

Gary has a proven track record of success in developing and implementing innovative cyber security solutions. He is a recognized expert in cyber security, cloud security, organizational leadership, IT strategy, Six Sigma and process improvements, acquisitions and integrations, pharmacy systems, SDLC, application development, big data, business alignment, and IT governance and compliance.
Gary is a frequent speaker and writer on cyber security topics. He is also a recipient of numerous awards, including the Medgar Evers College Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Dinner, the Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama, and the C100 CISC award in 2023.
Gary is a graduate of Campbell University with a BA in Data Processing. He also participated in an Executive Food Industry Management Course at Cornell University and the Stanford University Board of Directors College.
